Day 1: Arrival at The Retreat
As the ferry glides through the azure waters toward Koh Chang, the anticipation builds. The lush greenery of the island comes into view, promising a retreat into nature. Disembarking at Bang Bao Pier, I can’t wait to begin my five-day adventure. A short ride on my hired motorbike leads me to The Retreat, nestled amidst coconut palms and overlooking the serene waters. Today, I seek solitude at Lonely Beach, a hidden gem known for its pristine sands and tranquil atmosphere. After a leisurely breakfast at The Retreat, I make my way to this secluded stretch of coastline. The soft white sand beckons me to relax and unwind, while the crystal-clear waters offer respite from the tropical heat. I spend the day swimming, sunbathing, and simply soaking in the serenity of this untouched paradise. As the sun dips below the horizon, I bid farewell to Lonely Beach, feeling rejuvenated and at peace.
Day 4: Adventure at Kai Bae Beach
With its lively atmosphere and array of water sports, Kai Bae Beach promises an action-packed day of adventure. After a hearty breakfast, I make my way to this vibrant coastal enclave. I rent a kayak and paddle out into the sparkling waters, marveling at the lush jungle backdrop and towering limestone cliffs. Back on shore, I try my hand at snorkeling, marveling at the colorful coral reefs and exotic marine life beneath the surface. As the sun begins to set, I join fellow travelers at a beachfront bar, sipping cocktails and swapping stories of our island adventures.
Day 5: Farewell to Koh Chang
As my final day on Koh Chang dawns, I savor every moment of island life. After a leisurely breakfast at The Retreat, I take one last spin on my motorbike, bidding farewell to the winding roads and lush landscapes that have captivated me. Before catching the ferry back to the mainland, I pause to reflect on my time here, grateful for the memories made and the friendships forged. As the ferry pulls away from the pier, I know that Koh Chang will always hold a special place in my heart, and I vow to return someday to continue my island adventure.
